Song Of Winter

I’m the silence …
of the hibernating trees
All dressed in…
 snowy white glee….
Concealing the enchantment…
 of mother nature
 in their cold,
 conceited, tall statures….

I’m the mystery …
of the frozen lakes
A dream walking…
 in its dreamy wake….
A Tantalizing touch …
of  the feeble frost
A mesmerizing vision …
of love and lost…..

A fructifying  fantasy…
 told and retold
A  memory hidden …
in the memory folds….
The vibrancies of …
waiting and patience
The resonance of…
 meeting and impatience….

I’m the melancholy …
of the lonely nights…
Like life’s own game….
 of dark and light…
The quietness of…
 the somberly sleeping blossoms
The mute secretiveness…
 of a woman’s bosom

I’m the longing of…
 the swirling winds…
The yearning for…
 some to go  rescind
The love and trust ….
of coming spring
For the hope and joy…
 it might bring…

Like news of greetings…
 still on hold
And warmth wrapped…
 in the deadly cold…
Some truths to trust….
 which never defies
Like ever-living nature….
 which shall never die….
